I am a big fan of ballet. Like huge you could call it obsessed. Well, almost. I love the moves the dancers make, the flows, telling a story with their body and dancing. I’m following The English National Ballet on Facebook for quite some time now and I came across this beautiful picture made by Jason Bell. The English National Ballet posted a video about how this picture was made and it insired me so much that I had to share this.
Jason Bell
Jason Bell is a London and New York based photographer who was born in Camden in 1969. He decided on a career as a portrait photographer whilst studying Politics, Philosophy and Economics at Oxford where he graduated in 1990. He now got a very interesting resume and had many interesting people in front of the camera like Johnney Depp, David Beckham and Scarlett Johansson.
This time he has done an assignment for The English National Ballet. He photographed the photo for the Nutcracker, one of the highlights of the English National Ballet during Christmas. This short film shows a little bit about the process of the photo. What I think is so interesting about it, is that a simple photo is turned into something beautiful and dreamy. The photographer made the photo look like it could be outside but in real life the photo is made inside with a white background some bald trees, leaves on the floor and sand that now looks like snow. Very well done and thought of. It is a dream of mine to create this kind of imagery.

A beautyful design, photo and poster. I love it in every way and I will see the nutcracker once in my life.
