After a lot of brainstorming I looked for inspiration online. I used a Pinterest board to collect that inspiration. I also looked at a company that is creating planners professionally. In this blog I’ll tell you about what I think looked interesting to me.
Online inspiration
I search the internet, in particular Pinterest, and created a personal moodboard. With this I explitely looked at covers, use of colours and page layout. What occurred to me is that every planner I found on Pinterest is filled with stickers, washi tape, glitters and coloured writing. Nothing I liked but I was more focused on the page layout. I looked at what others are using and than compared that with my ideas. A lot of personal planners have pages that I would’t use like: eating, drinking and fitness goals, financial pages and a mission board. Those are the thing I didn’t use in my personal planner because I will not use or need it.
Inkwell Press
Inkwell Press is a professional planner maker. That’s where the most of the inspiration came from to create my own planner. I wanted to have this planner but when I looked through it, it had a lot of pages I couldn’t/wouldn’t use and I missed some pages that I could/would use. That gave me the opportunity to start thinking about my personal planner. Therefore I was looking at more business and simple planners with less fuss, just simple and practical for using it as a personal as well as a business planner.
What I really love about this planner is the size and the amount of writing space inside. Also the tab pages are coming in handy as I like to organise everything. I will use that idea for my personal planner.
Physical planner
I bought a physical planner at Poundland in order to schedule my project deadlines and so on. What I like about this planner and will use that in my personal one, is that there’s enough writing space. It’s a simple planner that doesn’t have a lot of fuss what I really like. It’s clean and it practical. Also the size compared to the writing space is nog bad. It’s an A5 planner and it works good for school projects.
I take all these things in mind as well as my personal wishes.
